Hensel Park

Hensel Park is a 27-acre park located on College Avenue near Hensel Drive and Married Student Housing. Fifteen acres of the park is open grass recreation fields, playgrounds or picnic areas. The park has three covered picnic shelters that can hold approximately 120 people each, one open picnic area near the children's playground, two picnic shelters with one table each, and two small covered picnic tables.

Hensel Park has been a part of the campus for over thirty years. The park has been used by student organizations, community groups, The Big Event, and for open recreation.

Please Remember

These simple guidelines will help keep your park and its surrounding environment healthy!
  • Vehicles should remain in parking areas
  • Leave your area as clean as you found it
  • Charcoal fires only
  • Extra trash bags are tied to the cans
  • In the event that the current bag is full, replace it
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the park
  • Aluminum, paper, plastic and glass can be recycled!!!
